Aw Man!

While on a camping vacation in Arkansas last week, poor little Palmer had a diaper explosion in the car.  It was bad enough that we pulled over on the side of the road to assess the damage. haha  Anyway, when I opened the door and started to pull her out of her carseat, she looked down at the "carnage" and exclaimed, "Aw maaaaaan!"  My thoughts exactly! While I was cleaning her up in the back of the car and dad was cleaning up the car seat, she said, "I sorry." to which I said, "What in the world are you sorry for, baby?".  "Poop."  Little girl was making us giggle through our gags.  Haha

Linkisms

The other day, we were in the car and Ben was making Linkan laugh hysterically. She said, "Daddy, that tickles my feelings!"

This morning while I was getting ready to take some ibuprofen, Linkan asked if she could give them to me. I said yes and asked if she was a doctor. She replied, "no. I'm very beautiful but I'm not a doctor." ?!?!? :-)

Just another Tuesday

The girls and I enjoyed the warmer weather outside today. I got a kick out of them filling up this container and turning it into a little pool. Palmer was loving life. :)

We went to "work" with Ben this evening. He was working on a trail improvement project with the Lawrence Mountain Bike Club. We consider it a blessing that he has a job where it's ok for us to "tag along" sometimes. Win-win all around.

During dinner tonight - for the very first time - unprompted and out of the blue - Palmer said, "I love you daddy". Pretty special moment. Melted her daddy's heart. It is these moments where I pause and marvel at the life that God has given me. As broken and imperfect as it is. As broken and imperfect as I am, He still affords me the most amazing miracle-moments. I am blessed indeed.

Stocking the Pond & Nature Walk

We went with Grandma and Grandpa P. today to pick up fish to restock their pond. Linkan said, "this is so amazing!". Palmer waved and said, "goodbye fish!" when grandpa released them into the pond.

After the sun finally came out, we went for a walk down their dirt road. We were on a "Bear Hunt". Never did find him...

In other news, Linkan said we must be getting close to Grandma and Grandpa's house because we were on "evil road" (gravel road). ;-D

Linkan's Picasso

This evening while I was making dinner... Ok, let be honest. This evening while I was HEATING up dinner, I turned around to find a picture that Linkan has just drawn on our piece of tile (that we use with a dry erase marker to write notes to each). I was so shocked by how well I thought she drew the picture that I couldn't contain my enthusiasm. Of course, my little Picasso thought that she was pretty hot stuff after that! :-)
