Monarch Watch

Annual Monarch Watch event on the KU campus this past Saturday. It's a cool event for kids of all ages. If you live in or around Lawrence, you need to make sure you go next year.

Link is fascinated with all things bugs and butterflies. Grandma P gave her a dead butterfly awhile back and she keeps her specimen in a jar on her nightstand. She has added a dead moth to it that she found. Her biologist father brought home some books for her to identify her treasures.

Needless to say, this event was right up her alley. Palmer even enjoyed it! They both got a chrysalis to take home. The butterflies will emerge in the next few days. Can't wait!

Discovery Days

We enrolled Link in a two-morning-a-week school. It's the precursor to preschool but as far as Link is concerned, it was her first day of "school" and she wondered why she didn't have a backpack. She did great...didn't even bother to say goodbye or look back when she got to her classroom door. My girl is growing up! ;)

Hitchin'

Muddy Run

Ben's trail run was rainy and muddy this morning (at Clinton Lake) but he had a great time. The girls had fun cheerleading! Ben is super happy to resume "life-as-normal" which includes frequent races. It makes my heart happy for him. :)
