Linkan's First Haircut!
Well, the girl is 3 years old so I figured it was time. So, she got her hair trimmed tonight and her infant baby curls are gone. We saved one for her baby book. She did great and when telling her dad about the stylist Linkan said, "she made me look like a princess!"

Kaw Valley Eagles Day
We got to go to work with Ben this morning. He worked a booth at the Eagles day. We did lots of eagle crafts. Linkan held a hissing cockroach and touched a snake. We also touched lots of animal pelts and saw lots of live raptors, opossum, owl, etc.
Linkan and Palmer, both, got to dissect real owl pellets (owl regurgitation of the indigestible parts of a critter - a rat, in our case). They said it was sterile?? :)

Redemption
Today was a day of redemption for the flu-suck week that we have been having. The girls weren't running fevers anymore and other than hacking coughs, are doing well. We all (me, the most, I'm sure) have cabin fever! I looked at the calendar and out of the last 4 weeks, everyone in the house has been healthy for 7 days (gnarly stomach bug that started on Xmas day).
I'm so over it an ready to get back into our normal routine. I thought we were doing that last week...and I'm pretty sure Link and Palm got the flu from the Discovery Center. What is a mom supposed to do with toddlers in the winter time? I take them to cool indoor places and the germs are rampant. It's unavoidable. (Throws hands up in the air) Sigh, well hopefully, they are now resistant to the strains and we can live out the rest of our winter playing all over the cool germ-infested indoor spaces. :)
It was over 60 degrees today and even though the wind was redonk, I loaded them up in the buggy and off we went! I had to laugh because we were being blown all over the playground by the wind, I'm chasing them around the whole time with a Kleenex because their snotty noses just wouldn't stop, and anytime they started running they were hacking up their lungs. But we were outside! And that made us happy. :)

Palmer's new accessory
Tonight, after bath and pj's, we made a quick run to the store for some frozen yogurt. Put Palm on the counter when we get home and we couldn't stop giggling at the sight of her.
Footie pj's along with her current favorite winter hat - and the icing on the cake is the panties (Linkan's) over her clothes that she insisted on wearing. In fact, she has been wearing them on top of her pants all day. Haha
